Fees and charges

For the performance of notarial activities, the notary receives remuneration specified on the basis of an agreement with the parties to the activity, not higher than the maximum rates of the notarial fee applicable to a given activity, established by way of an ordinance by the Minister of Justice. A party to a notarial act who is unable, without prejudice to the maintenance necessary for himself and his family, to incur the remuneration demanded by the notary, may apply to the district court competent for the place of residence for exemption in whole or in part from incurring this cost. If there is a need to perform a notarial act, the court accepts the request, and the notary public appointed by him performs this act. For the party exempt from paying the fee, the costs are borne by the State Treasury.
